Senate Bill 101

This bill (SB-101) modernizes the self storage auction laws allowing the storage owner to chose to advertise on an online auction site rather than being mandated to pay for costly advertisements in a newspaper.

Governor John Bel Edwards

has signed SB-101 into law!

We appreciate the support that Governor Edwards has shown the self storage industry in the signing of SB101. This long-awaited bill removes the mandate for newspaper ads in our auction process.

SB101 is EFFECTIVE January 1, 2022
